Fig Preserves
Fig Preserves is an easy dinner. Made with figs, sugar, water and sliced lemon, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

First wash figs, discarding broken ones.
In a large pot, place equal weights of figs and sugar; add a little water. Simmer, lightly covered, until figs are opaque.
Turn off heat, add 1 sliced lemon and let sit in pot for about 4 hours to make figs plump.
Reheat and pour into sterilized jars.
Cool on rack. Jar tops will make popping sound as they seal.
