Family-Styled Short Ribs
Family-Styled Short Ribs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. beef short ribs, 2 tbsp. salad oil, 1 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 1 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Brown short ribs on all sides in oil.
Pour off drippings. Season with salt and pepper.
Add water, bouillon, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and the onion slices.
Cover tightly and cook slowly for 2 hours or until meat is fork-tender.
Pour out cooking liquid to measure 1 1/2 cups.
Use water if needed.
Thicken the liquid for gravy.
Serve with mashed potatoes.
