Fale Dunaju(Waves of Dunaj)
Fale Dunaju(Waves Of Dunaj) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 0.25 kg margarine, 1 c. sugar, 5 eggs, 2 tsp. cocoa and 2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cream the margarine with sugar and egg yolks until well blended. Add flour, baking powder and lemon juice. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to mixture.
Divide batter into two parts. Add 1.5 teaspoons cocoa and 2 teaspoons water into one part of the batter.
Pour this batter over the first part.
Sprinkle cherries over the top.
Bake at 150° to 200° C for 35 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. After cake is done, allow to cool and pour Cream over same.
