Ethel's Favorite Custard
Ethel'S Favorite Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/2 c. sugar, 3 c. hot milk, vanilla and nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix Eggs and Sugar.
Slowly add Hot Milk; beating with a wooden fork.
Add Vanilla and Nutmeg.
Put 1 teaspoon of Grapenuts Cereal in 6 custard cups.
Then set in a pan of hot water, about an inch deep.
Pour in milk mixture.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Test by inserting a knife into custard.
Done when knife comes out clean.
Serve warm or cold.
