English Toffee(Microwave) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 1 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, 2 tbsp. water and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine butter, sugar, corn syrup and water in 2-quart glass mixing 'n pour bowl.
Microwave on High, uncovered, for 4 minutes. Stir.
Microwave on High uncovered for 6 to 8 minutes until 300Β° is reached.
(I find it takes longer), stirring and checking temperature during last few minutes.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour onto ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle with chocolate pieces.
Let stand until chocolate is softened; spread over toffee.
Sprinkle with nuts, pressing them into chocolate.
Refrigerate to set chocolate.
