English Toffee
English Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 2 sticks butter (not margarine), 3 tbsp. water, 3 hershey bars, chopped and chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix sugar, water and butter in saucepan on medium-high until boils (stir occasionally).
Reduce heat to medium and stir moderately until mixture reaches caramel color.
Pour into greased shallow pan and immediately sprinkle chopped chocolate and then nuts over hot mixture.
Let cool and break into bite size pieces. Store in airtight container.
