Place beef in cold skillet and brown.
Add onion, garlic salt and tomato sauce.
Combine sour cream and cottage cheese with green chilies.
Crush tortilla chips in bottom of well-buttered 2 1/2-quart casserole.
Add half the meat mixture; cover with half the sour cream mixture.
Sprinkle with half the grated cheese.
Bake, uncovered, in 350Β° oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
Garnish with reserved tortilla chips.
