Egg Batter Bread
Egg Batter Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 1/2 c. sifted flour, 2 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 2 pkg. active dry yeast and 2 tbsp. softened butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix together 1 1/2 cups of flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
Add butter.
Gradually add water. Beat 2 minutes at medium with electric mixer.
Add eggs, 1/2 cup flour and beat at high speed two minutes.
Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
Cover and let rise until double, about 35 minutes.
Punch down.
Turn into 2 well-greased loaf pans or 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Cover. Let rise again, about 40 minutes.
Bake at 375Β° for 35 minutes.
