Easy Beef Stroganoff
Easy Beef Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, 1/2 stick butter, 2 to 3 tbsp. flour, 1/2 white onion, diced and 2 1/2 cans sliced mushrooms, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Brown meat in skillet with butter.
Season.
When meat is brown; add flour and stir.
Mix in onion.
Add canned mushrooms with liquid and water.
Bring to boil, cover, lower heat and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Check every so often to see when meat is ready.
Keep stirring lightly so it will not burn.
If liquid evaporates, add a little hot water.
Sour cream may be added lastly, if desired.
