Dutch "Pocket Books" is an moderately easy dinner. Made with pastry for 2 double pies, 1/2 lb. finely diced beef chuck (other meat such as pork, lamb or liver may be substituted), 2 small potatoes, pared and thinly sliced, 2 tbsp. chopped onion and 2 small carrots, thinly sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Divide pastry into 2 portions.
Roll 9 inches each.
Put half of the meat and vegetables for each half of dough.
Fold pastry over filling to form a pocket book and seal edges with fork.
Slit top.

Reduce heat to 350° and bake 40 minutes until golden brown.
