Dutch Lace Cookies
Dutch Lace Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. molasses, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 1/2 tsp. vinegar and 2 1/8 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Combine molasses, sugar, shortening and vinegar in saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Sift remaining ingredients together.
Add to molasses mixture.
Return to heat; cook until thick, stirring constantly. Drop 1/2 teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet about 3 inches apart.
Bake at 375Β° for 3 to 5 minutes or until slightly browned. Cool slightly before removing from sheet with a greased spatula. Roll slightly for a curly edge.
Yields 6 dozen.
