Mix flour, salt and brown sugar in a large bowl.
Cut in shortening.
Add nuts.
Slowly add just enough milk to make it stick together, about 2/3 cup.

Cut in strips about 1/2 x 4-inches.
Bake at 300Β° for 40 minutes on greased sheets.
