Dilly Bread
Dilly Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 cake or pkg. yeast, 1 c. creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm, 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. instant minced onion and 1 tbsp. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Soften yeast in warm water.
Combine in mixing bowl the cottage cheese, sugar, onion, shortening, salt, soda and dill seed.
Add flour to form a stiff dough.
Knead.
Let rise until light or double in size (30 to 60 minutes).
Knead down.
Make out into 1 large or 2 small loaves.
Let rise.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes or until light brown.
