Dill Pickles
Dill Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 30 to 36 cucumbers, 3 c. vinegar, 3 c. water, 1/2 tbsp. mustard seed and 6 tbsp. salt (coarse), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Make brine of the vinegar, water and salt.
Bring to a boil. Place a generous layer of dill, 1/2 to 1 clove garlic (sliced) and 1/2 tablespoon mustard seed in bottom of each jar.
Pack cukes; when half full, add more dill and finish packing.
Fill jars within 1/2-inch of top with hot boiling brine.
Put caps and bands on.
Process in hot water bath 5 minutes.
These are very easy to make; will never fail or become soft.
