Date Nut Bread
Date Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates, 1 1/4 c. boiling water, 2 1/4 c. flour, 1 c. chopped nuts and 3/4 c. packed brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine dates and boiling water.
Let stand 15 minutes. Grease and flour a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In a large bowl, mix with fork, flour, nuts, brown sugar, soda and salt.
Stir in egg, oil and date mixture just until flour is moistened.
Spoon evenly into a loaf pan.
Bake 65 minutes.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Makes a 2 pound loaf.
