D-D'S Hard Candy
D-D'S Hard Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2/3 c. light corn syrup, 3/4 c. water, 1 tsp. lorann flavoring and powdered sugar (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix first 3 ingredients in large saucepan.
Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
Boil, without stirring, until temperature reaches 310Β° (use a candy thermometer) or until drops of syrup form hard, brittle threads in cold water.
Remove from heat.
After boiling has ceased, stir in flavoring and coloring. Pour into lightly greased cookie sheet.
Cool and break into pieces.
(Use hammer over wax paper.)
Shake in bag with xxx sugar.
Store airtight.
