Crunchy Sausage Casserole
Crunchy Sausage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (6 oz.) pkg. wild rice mix, 1 lb. sausage, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 large onion, chopped and 1 (8 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook rice mix according to package directions and set aside. Cook sausage, ground beef and onion over medium heat, stirring to crumble.
Drain off drippings.
Add rice, mushrooms, water chestnuts and soy sauce.
Stir well.
Spoon into an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Remove and allow to set at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle almonds.
Bake, uncovered, at 325Β° for 50 minutes.
