Slice unpared cucumbers about 1/4-inch thick.
Add onions, peppers and salt.
Cover with ice water and crushed ice.
Mix well; let stand for 3 hours.
Drain well.
Pack cucumbers, peppers and onions in sterilized jars.
In a pan, add remaining ingredients; heat just to boil.
Pour over mixture in jars; add lids.
Cold pack for 25 minutes to assure sealing.
Yields about 8 pints.
