Creole Style Green Beans
Creole Style Green Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 slices bacon, sliced, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, 2 tbsp. flour and 2 tbsp. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp.
Remove and set aside.
Add onion and green pepper to the bacon grease and saute until tender.
Blend in flour, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and mustard.
Add tomatoes.
Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Add beans and heat thoroughly.
Top with bacon.
