Made with 2 to 3 baskets small white pearl onions (boiler onions are good if pearls are unavailable), 2 to 3 c. white cream sauce, 2 tbsp. butter, 2 tbsp. flour and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In double boiler, melt butter; stir in flour.
Add milk slowly, stirring constantly until smooth.
