Cream Wafers

Mix butter, cream and flour throughly.
Chill.
Heat oven to 375Β°.
Divide dough into thirds.
(Keep remainder in refrigerator until ready to roll.)
Roll one third of dough 1/8-inch thick on floured cloth-covered bowl.
Cut with 1 1/2-inch round cutter. Place rounds on waxed paper that is heavily covered with sugar. Turn each round with spatula so both sides are coated with sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Prick each round about four times with fork.
Bake 7 to 9 minutes.
Cool.
Put two cookies together with filling.
Makes about five dozen double cookies.
