Cream Cheese Cookies
Cream Cheese Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, 1 c. sugar, 1 well beaten egg, 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened and 2 tbsp. buttermilk or plain yogurt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Blend until creamy the butter, sugar and egg.
Beat in cream cheese, buttermilk or yogurt and vanilla.
Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Beat well.
Roll into slight 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 to 3-inches apart.
Using fork dipped in flour, press onto cookie and flaten slightly.
Sprinkle with colored sugars or a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake at 350Β° for 12 to 15 minutes or until set.
Do not brown!
Yields 60 (2-inch) cookies.
