Cranberry Pork Chops
Cranberry Pork Chops is an easy dinner. Made with 8 (3/4 inch thick) pork chops, 2 tbsp. shortening, 1/4 tsp. cornstarch, 1 (8 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce and 1/4 c. barbecue sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Brown chops in skillet with shortening.
Season with salt, pepper, cloves and nutmeg.
Drain excess fat.
Combine cranberry sauce, barbecue sauce and 1/4 cup water.
Pour over chops.
Cover and simmer 1 hour.
Remove chops to hot plate and keep warm.
Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water.
Stir into sauce in skillet.
Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
Spoon over chops.
Serve with hot rice.
