Country-Style Chicken Soup
Country-Style Chicken Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (3 to 4 lb.) chicken, cut up, 1 onion or leek, chopped, 1 carrot, finely chopped, 1/2 c. chopped celery and 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In 4 quart or larger crock-pot, combine chicken, onion or leek, carrot, celery, parsley, bay leaf, thyme, salt, pepper and water.
Cover and cook on low 7 or 8 hours or until tender. Remove chicken and bay leaf.
Turn crock-pot on high.
Remove meat from chicken parts; cut into bite-size pieces.
Return chicken to crock-pot; add cooked noodles or rice.
Serve when heated to desired temperature.
Makes 8 or 9 servings.
