Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
Beat egg yolks, flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, milk and sugar and add to the grated corn.
Mix thoroughly.
Fold in egg whites.
Drop by spoonfuls into greased frying pan.
Turn when golden brown on bottom, then brown top.
Serve warm with syrup.
