Coopers Famous Pound Cake
Coopers Famous Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. sugar, 1 lb. butter, softened to room temperature, 6 eggs (room temperature), 1/2 c. milk and 4 c. flour (cake flour preferred), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Preheat oven to 300Β°.
Mix dry ingredients except sugar together.
Sift 3 times.
Cream butter and sugar mixture.
Beat eggs and then add to butter and sugar mixture.
Using electric mixer, add flour and milk intermittently to butter, eggs and sugar mixture.
Flour should be added as the very last ingredient.
Then add vanilla to the mixture.
Flour and grease round tube pan.
Bake cake to golden brown, about 2 hours.
One cup floured nuts and 1 cup floured raisins may be added to mixture as last ingredients if desired.
