Colonial Chicken
Colonial Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tbsp. salt, pepper to taste and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Roll chicken in flour, salt and pepper.
In a large frying pan brown chicken on all sides.
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
In second bowl mix 4 eggs and milk until light, then mix in butter.
Slowly blend egg mixture into dry mixture.
Beat until smooth.
Pour batter into greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Place chicken in batter.
Bake 1 hour at 350Β°.
