Coconut Cream Pie
Coconut Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 tbsp. cornstarch, 1 tbsp. flour and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch, flour and milk.
Cook until it begins to thicken.
Beat 3 egg yolks; add 1 cup of the hot mixture and stir thoroughly.
Add back to the rest of the hot mixture and cook, stirring all the time until it thickens.
Remove from heat; add 3/4 cup coconut and 1 tablespoon butter.
Stir and pour into a 9-inch baked pie crust.
Beat 3 egg whites; add 5 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Spread on top of pie and brown in a 400Β° oven for 10 minutes.
