Classic Banana Cream Pie
Classic Banana Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. flour, 2 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt and 3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a large saucepan, mix together the sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
Simmer 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly until thickened.
Gradually stir hot mixture into eggs.
Return egg mixture to saucepan.
Cook over very low heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Peel and slice 2 bananas.
Place in pie shell. Cover with filling.
Chill several hours.
Just before serving, peel remaining 2 bananas, cut in slices and place on top of pie.
