Clams Casino Dip
Clams Casino Dip is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 (8 oz.) cans minced clams or 4 (6 1/2 oz.) cans (reserve 1 can clam juice), 1 small jar chopped pimento, 1 stick butter, 1 lb. bacon and 1 large onion, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Fry bacon; drain fat.
Chop bacon.
Saute pepper and celery. Add onion and chopped bacon; continue cooking until onion is translucent.
Crumble crackers.
Melt butter.
Add butter to crackers.
Add crumb mixture to vegetables in skillet.
Add pimento, clams and clam juice; season with salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice and hot sauce (2 to 3 drops).
Place in casserole and bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve in chafing dish with crackers.
