Clam Chowder
Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 bacon slices, diced, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 c. cubed, pared potatoes, 1 1/2 tsp. salt and 8 crushed soda crackers, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In medium kettle, saute bacon until almost crisp.
Add onion; cook until tender, 5 minutes.
Add potatoes, salt, pepper and 1 1/2 cups water.
Cook, covered, for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Add clams and liquid, milk and butter and cook 3 minutes. Sprinkle in crackers and heat through.
Do not boil.
Serves 8 small or 4 large.
