Chow Mein
Chow Mein is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. pork, diced, 1 lb. beef, diced, 2 tbsp. fat, 1/3 c. soy sauce and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Brown meats in hot fat.
Add soy sauce and 1 cup water.
Simmer 2 minutes.
Add celery and onions.
Simmer 1 1/2 hours.
Blend cornstarch and water.
Stir into meat mixture.
Add chestnuts, bean sprouts and mushrooms.
Serve over rice or chow-mein noodles.
Makes 8 servings.
