Chop Suey
Chop Suey is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. margarine or butter, 1 lb. cubed pork steak, 1 large onion, sliced, 2 oz. soy sauce and 2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Brown meat in butter.
Add celery and onion to browned meat. Cover with water and cook slowly, uncovered, for 1 hour or until tender.
Add soy sauce, brown sugar and mushrooms.
Add bean sprouts and liquid.
Thicken gravy to desired consistency.
Serve over chow mein noodles or cooked rice or both.
Serves 8.
