Chop Suey
Chop Suey is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. lean beef, chopped in small cubes, 2 lb. lean pork, chopped in small cubes, 1/2 c. celery, chopped, 2 onions, chopped and 2 cans chow mein vegetables, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Brown meat in greaseless pot.
Add celery and onions.
Cook at low heat 30 minutes.
Add vegetables and sprouts.
Cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours.
Add soy sauce to make a nice color.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Thicken with cornstarch if needed. Serve over white rice and top with heated canned chow mein noodles.
Serves 12 to 15.
