In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar, oil and margarine. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla; mix well.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in zucchini, chocolate chips and almonds. Pour into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325Β° for 55 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.
