Chocolate Snowballs
Chocolate Snowballs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. margarine or shortening, 2/3 c. sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, 1 2/3 c. sifted flour and 1/2 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla until fluffy.
Sift flour with cocoa and add to creamed mixture.
Use back of wooden or other large spoon to blend thoroughly.
Add pecans, again using back of spoon to blend thoroughly.
Dough will be very thick. Roll teaspoonfuls of dough into small balls and bake on ungreased nonstick baking sheet in 325Β° oven for 20 minutes.
Cool and roll in powdered sugar.
Store in tins or other covered containers.
