Chocolate-Peanut Crispies
Chocolate-Peanut Crispies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1 c. chunky peanut butter, 6 c. crisp corn, rice and wheat cereal and 1/2 c. chopped dry-roasted peanuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a Dutch oven.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to boil.
Remove from heat and add peanut butter, stirring until smooth.
Gradually stir in cereal and peanuts. Stir in chocolate mini morsels.
Press mixture into a lightly greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Let cool and cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
Yields 5 dozen.
