Chocolate Cream Pie
Chocolate Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 3 tbsp. flour, 3 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/3 c. cocoa minus 1 tsp. and 3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix sugar, flour, cornstarch and cocoa in saucepan or double boiler.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat.
Gradually stir at least half of hot mixture into egg yolks that have been beaten.
Then blend into hot mixture in double boiler.
Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened.
Blend in butter and vanilla.
Pour into a 9-inch baked pie shell.
Top with meringue or Cool Whip.
