Chocolate Cream Pie
Chocolate Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. flour, 1 c. sugar, 6 tbsp. cocoa, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1/2 c. cold milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine dry ingredients.
Add cold milk to egg yolk.
Add this mixture to scalded milk (total 2 1/2 cups milk includes all).
Cook very slowly until thick and creamy.
Add vanilla.
Pour into unbaked cooled pie crust, 8 or 9-inch.
Add meringue by beating 3 egg whites (room temperature) with 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar until foamy.
Gradually add 3 tablespoons sugar and beat until stands in peaks.
Put on pie.
Brown in 350Β° oven 12 minutes.
Cool out of draft.
