Chocolate Cream Pie
Chocolate Cream Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. flour and 1/2 c. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Sift all dry ingredients together.
Mix with enough half and half to make a paste.
Add melted butter.
Beat the egg yolks and 1 whole egg.
Add beaten eggs and rest of the half and half and cook in top of double boiler until thick.
Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Cover and cool.
When filling has cooled, turn into a baked pie crust.
Top with Superior Meringue.
Bake at 325Β° for about 30 minutes.
Let pie cool and sprinkle with 4 ounces grated semi-sweet chocolate.
