Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Mega Batch Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 9 c. flour, unsifted (2 lb. 5 oz.), 4 tsp. baking soda, 4 tsp. salt, 2 lb. butter (1 lb. margarine and 1 lb. crisco) and 3 c. packed brown sugar (1 1/2 lb.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 350Β°.
In large bowl, combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.
In upright mixer bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Gradually add dry ingredients into wet ingredients until blended.
(Place wet ingredients in larger bowl before adding wet ingredients; beat by hand.)
Add oatmeal, mix and stir in chips and nuts.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool on rack.
Makes 32 dozen 2-inch cookies.
