Chocolate Chip Cake
Chocolate Chip Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. gold medal flour, 1 c. dark brown sugar, packed, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 3 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour 2 round layer pans.
Using a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, shortening, milk, eggs and chocolate chips.
Blend 1 1/2 minutes on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Beat 3 minutes at high speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into prepared pans.
Bake 40-45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes our clean.
Cool. Place butterscotch filling between layers, use chocolate chip glaze to top cake and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
