Chocolate Cake

Cream butter and sugar until light.
Add egg yolks and melted chocolate.
Add dry ingredients, which have been sifted together three times, alternately with cold water.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake in two 9-inch cake pans or a 13 x 9-inch pan at 350Β° until it springs back when touched with finger, about 35 minutes.
