Chocolate Banana Cake
Chocolate Banana Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, 8 tbsp. butter (1 stick), 1 c. sugar, 2 large very ripe bananas, mashed and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In a large heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt the chocolate and butter together.
Remove from heat and mix in sugar, bananas, vanilla and eggs.
Measure the flour in a 2-cup measuring cup and thoroughly mix in the baking soda.
With a whisk, mix into the saucepan until thoroughly combined.
Pour into a greased, floured 8-inch layer pan and bake in a preheated 350Β° oven for 45 minutes until a tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
