Chiffon Pound Cake

Heat oven to 350°.
In bowl beat egg whites until frothy. Gradually add 1/2 cup sugar, beating until egg whites are very stiff.
Into another bowl, cream sugar, oil, egg yolks and 1/2 of milk and flavorings.
Mix well.
Add dry ingredients alternately with rest of milk.
Beat mixture until smooth.
Fold in egg whites with wooden spoon.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake 1 hour in a 350° oven.
