Chicken Tortillas
Chicken Tortillas is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 chicken breasts or 1 whole chicken, 2 small cans ortega chiles, diced, 1 lb. cheddar cheese, diced, 1 can each: cream of chicken and mushroom soup and 1 large onion, minced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Salt and pepper chicken and bake in foil at 325° for 2 hours. Remove chicken from bones and cut into large chunks.
Slice tortillas in 1-inch strips.
Combine liquids and onion.
Layer in flat baking dish, ending with cheese.
Pour milk over all.
Bake at 300° for 1 hour. This is best if it stands 2 to 3 hours or overnight before baking.
Can be prepared and frozen for later.
