Chicken Liver Dip
Chicken Liver Dip is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. chicken livers, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1 clove garlic, pressed or minced, 3 tbsp. dark rum (optional) and 1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cut chicken livers into small pieces.
Melt butter or margarine with garlic.
Saute livers until cooked through.
Remove from heat.
Stir in rum.
Combine mixture in a blender with cream cheese, yogurt, salt and basil.
Blend until smooth.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Chill several hours.
Serve with crackers and/or raw vegetables.
