Chicken Cacciatore
Chicken Cacciatore is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/3 c. oil, 1 medium onion, chopped, 3 lb. chicken, cut up, 2 (8 oz.) cans whole tomatoes and 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
π¨βπ³ Instructions
Brown chicken lightly in oil.
Remove chicken.
Add onion and garlic; cook until tender.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, drained mushrooms, salt, basil, oregano, pepper and bay leaf; mix well. Return chicken to skillet.
Cover pieces with sauce.
Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes.
Add wine; simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes longer.
Remove bay leaf.
