Chicken and Dumplings
Chicken And Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. shortening, 1/2 c. water, 1 medium size hen or 1 large frying chicken, disjointed, 3 c. self-rising flour and desired amount salt and black pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Place chicken, salt and black pepper in a large pot.
Boil over medium heat until tender.
Remove chicken from stock. Combine flour, shortening and water in a mixing pan.
Mix well to form soft dough.
Roll out paper thin.
Cut in small strips.
Drop in boiling broth.
Stir lightly.
Cook dumplings for 10 to 15 minutes or until tender.
Remove from heat and add chicken.
Serve hot.
