Chicken and Dressing Casserole
Chicken And Dressing Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. fryer, boiled, deboned and broken into small pieces, 1 pkg. pepperidge farm cornbread dressing, or bake fresh cornbread and crumble, 2 c. chicken broth, 1 stick melted margarine and 1/2 c. chopped celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In oblong casserole dish spread cornbread.
Mix melted margarine and chicken broth.
Pour over cornbread.
Mix chicken, chopped celery and onions.
Mix with mayonnaise (enough mayonnaise to make like chicken salad) and spread over dressing.
Beat eggs and 1 1/2 cups milk.
Pour over chicken mixture.
Poke holes so milk and egg mixture will penetrate to dressing layer, too. Refrigerate overnight.
